RCIS Area Claims Supervisor

Will support the Western Half of Eastern South Dakota.
Supervises the day-to-day work activities of a group of crop insurance adjusters. Assigns notice of losses to adjusters and oversees the timely and accurate appraisal of claims. Manages the loss adjusting expense for a defined territory. Completes field inspections and related responsibilities such as reading maps, aerial photos, measuring fields, storage bins and discussing findings with farmers. Handles the most complex, difficult claims and adjusts controversial claims. Maintains a strong working knowledge of regulatory rules and company regulations. Participates in hiring, training and providing performance management for crop insurance adjusters in assigned territory. Completes reviews and audits as assigned.
Basic
Qualifications: 3
years combined crop insurance experience and/or agriculture related experience. Reliable means of transportation and the ability to travel within territory.
Minimum
Qualifications: Strong computer skills; strong verbal and written communications skills; strong organizational skills; excellent customer service skills.
