## Description
Within the Fixed Networks Site Implementation and Outside Plant (SIOP) organizations, the role of the OSP SME for FTTx is to support all OSP activities, within business development, pre-sales, and post sales, as well as any activities related to OSP product line management, like process, best practice and guideline documentation, training, internal & external presentation, cost reduction programs, etc.
The major objective is to provide FTTx design & engineering support, within the offer preparation and project ramp-up phase, keeping a close relationship with the RBC pre-sales teams, as well with the account, delivery, procurement, and offer control teams.
As part of this major objective the OSP SME need to make sure that the SIOP Blueprint is followed, lesson learned and best practices are applied, OSP risk understood and mitigation plans are created and embedded in the business case and project plan, and all decision are enforced.
In addition, the OSP SME role, within the SIOP PLM is to build up competency as well as build improvement plans for all SIOP service.
The FND SIOP OSP SME is engaged in:
SIOP Bid and Proposal Support / Advanced Tendering - Support tendering teams with create, develop, review, and respond to RFPs, where SIOP is involved or on request if SIOP is not directly involved in the opportunity.
Customer and Internal Presentations - Develop fact sheets, sales ware, and other technical support documentation for external and internal use.
Funnel Management - Supporting the PLM lead on tracking opportunities
Global Support - Support all delivery teams in all regions on FTTx OSP deliveries
Product Line Development/Support - Provide OSP process and support for all SIOP opportunities.
Business Development / Portfolio Management - Understandingof the business strategy, develop offers, work with Account teams, and the RBCs to develop new opportunities to support equipment sales.
Pricing/Cost - Working closely with Tendering managers (Bid and Proposal) and Global Procurement Organization to manage customer price and supplier cost for opportunities, based on the basis of SIOP pricing policy (DOA).
Cost Control/Vendor Management - Support cost reduction, control, and avoidance for the portfolio for selected opportunities.
Technology Overview - Support Product and Tendering teams by leading and informing team how future technologies impact the SIOP portfolio.
## Qualifications
Technical Skills & Experiences
OSP Field / Rollout experience, for minimum of one year on FTTX projects
OSP Design & Engineering skills
Understanding of :
OSP (Passive) material and components
Geographical Inventory/Information System understanding/skills
OSP Design & Drawing tool experiences (e.g. AutoCAD)
Management / Leadership Skills
Ability to manage self and pursue complex technical solutions and interface with worldwide organizations while dealing with a changing unknown environment.
Basic Project Management knowledge and the ability to "co-manage" SIOP projects during the project startup phase, together with a GPM or during the tendering phase with the Bid Lead
Understanding of sub-contractor management
Effective communication/interpersonal skills
Ability to work within remote teams
Business Skills
Financials Management for Projects and Offers (IPIS, ECPLS, Cash-Flow Analysis, etc.)
Business case modeling, analysis and evaluations
Exposure in commercial management (contractual terms and conditions)
Understanding on Risk Management (e.g. risk identification, risk qualification, etc.)
Ability to travel internationally for several weeks (if needed) and short notice

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
