PT - part- time - Monday - Friday - 8:00am - 5:00pm
The Medical Laboratory Technician for Sanford Laboratories is required to perform clinical laboratory testing in the Satellite Laboratory. The employee will work with self discipline, good judgment, and considerable independence while following established standards of practice. Overall demonstrates technical competency in all areas at Sanford Laboratories and will consult with supervisor/manager when necessary. The employee needs to recognize responsibilities of other laboratory and health care personnel and interact with respect for their jobs and patient care.
Demonstrates patience, kindness, and cooperation with clients and co-workers. May be asked to work at or travel to any Sanford Laboratories site depending on the needs of the facility and at the discretion of the supervisor/manager.
This position may have access to medication storage areas in order to stock secured items.
When students are providing patient care, treatment, and/or services as a part of their training, any/all employees may be asked to supervise the students.
Required Experience
Graduate of an approved School of Laboratory Science - MLT.
Must be registered by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or registry of equal status. Experienced MLTs must have certification upon hire.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
