Position
Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to develop quality web applications for our clients. This position will work on the enhancements of a GIS application with focus on strong front-end development. This position will also participate in activities such as installing, deploying, configuring, testing, and documentation.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Develops and enhances front end production of GIS application, as part of a team
Works with development team to support and maintain existing production code and develop and deliver new enhancements
Participates in all phases of the system development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment
Tests applications for functionality, data integrity, performance, and usability
Documents completed technical work for clients
Maintains technical specifications throughout a project
Requirements
Position Requirements and Basic Qualifications -
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
At least six (6) years Information Technology experience, including experience in front-end development
At least two (5) years of JavaScript development experience using JavaScript libraries and frameworks
Other Position Requirements
Demonstrated development skills with focus on front-end development
Demonstrated knowledge and development skills of UI Interfaces
Demonstrated knowledge of one or more of the following operating systems: Windows, Linux
Experience as a member of a technical project team, from design through delivery
Experience troubleshooting and identifying potential problems and making appropriate changes
Experience creating technical documentation
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
Preferred Requirements:
Consulting experience
Agile / Sprint methodology
Experience with Dojo, jQuery, Postgres
Essential Functions
The position exists to provide consulting solutions to customers and as such requires the ability to travel to and from customer sites and interact with customers on an ongoing and regular basis.
