Mary's and Pierre community here! Job Summary The Pharmacy Intern assists in drug preparation, storage, distribution, inventory management, and patient education within a variety of pharmacy environments.
This position works under direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
Education and/or Experience High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Pre-admitted or officially accepted into an accredited College of Pharmacy program.
0 - 6 months experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification/RegistrationStudents entering their first year of Pharmacy School required to register with the South Dakota Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of their first day of class as a P1 student.
Until registered as a Pharmacy Intern, the student will be registered as a Pharmacy Technician-in-Training with the SD Board of Pharmacy.
Registration as Pharmacy Technician-in-Training required within 30 days of starting employment.
Work ScheduleMonday - Friday:
8:
30 am - 5:
30 pm; varied hours.
Occasional weekend.
Saturdays 9:
00 am - 12:
00 pm.
